Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne will join the cast of CSI this season.
According to People, The Matrix star, Laurence Fishburne, will join the cast of CSI this season.
Fishburne is set to replace actor William Petersen who has been on the series for eight years. Fishburne will portray a college lecturer with a history in pathology. His character will join the homicide investigation team, but while harboring a secret. His character’s genetic profile is one that has been identified in serial killers.
People also reports that Petersen will leave the show midway through the season, but will serve as an executive producer and has not ruled out an occasional guest appearance.
