Britney’s Got Bills

Britney Spears lost custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, in October of last year. After numerous court appearances, disputes, three legal teams, and of course hefty legal bills, ex-husband Kevin Federline has agreed to allow Spears more time with her children, even though he still has sole custody.
But just how hefty were those legal bills?
According to the Daily News, CNN obtained court documents showing that Spears's legal bills from two law firms total more than $466,000.
BBC News reported that attorney Stacy D. Phillips claims that Britney owes her $407,000 for four months of work. Phillips also says that she's written off $125,000 in fees. Phillips says that the case was complicated by Spears's conservatorship under her father, Jamie. This legal fee is most likely to be contested by Spears’s current legal team.
Another attorney, Laura Wasser, who took over the case back in June, claims that she is owed $60,000 for two months of work. Although Federline has full custody of their sons, Wasser was the attorney who negotiated an agreement that allowed Britney to spend more time with her sons, according to MTV News.
All of this is on top of the $250,000 Spears agreed to pay Federline’s lawyers for their legal services, according to BBC News.
