Newest "Bachelor" Selected
The newest bachelor on ABC's hit reality dating show, The Bachelor, may look familiar to viewers next season-that is because Jason Mesnick was one of the rejected suitors on the last season of The Bachelorette, the Associated Press reports.
Jason Mesnick, the show's runner-up, proposed to bachelorette DeAnna Pappas during the show's season finale. Though he was not selected, Mesnick hopes to find love amongst the 25 bachelorettes who will join him in his quest for romance on the show's 13th season when it returns in early January.
ABC announced on Wednesday that the 32-year-old single father is still hoping to find his dream woman on television. He claims that he is searching for someone who "has a real curiosity about the world, who loves life and can find passion in life's smallest moments." Casting calls are now being held, as producers of the reality show are currently looking for eligible single women hoping for love with their newest bachelor.
Mesnick lost Pappas's heart to snowboarder Jesse Csincask in last season's finale of The Bachelorette. Pappas and Csincask are currently engaged. Pappas was previously a contestant on The Bachelor, being rejected by previous bachelor Brad Womack while on the show's 11th season.
