Ben Affleck Joins Cast of Mike Judge Film

Ben Affleck is in talks to join the cast of Mike Judge’s new film, “Extract,” alongside Jason Bateman.
According to Variety, Ben Affleck is in negotiations to play an ambulance-chasing lawyer in the new Mike Judge comedy, Extract.
The Miramax film centers on a flower extract factory owner, played by Jason Bateman, who is confronted with a series of problems in the workplace and a bad luck streak, including his wife’s affair with a gigolo.
Clifton Collins, Jr. will also join the cast as a factory worker who is due a huge settlement as the result of being dismembered in a workplace accident. Mila Kunis and Kristen Wiig have already signed up for the project, which begins lensing Monday in Los Angeles.
Judge wrote the screenplay and is producing via the trio’s Ternion Prods. shingle with John Altschuler and Mike Rotenberg.
Affleck’s last starring role was in Hollywoodland, which came out in 2006. Currently, Affleck has two films in production, Universal’s State of Play and Warner Bros.’ He’s Just Not That Into You.
Collins will appear next in Paramount’s Star Trek prequel, The Perfect Game and Crank 2 for Lionsgate, and Horsemen for Mandate.
