On Thursday afternoon, Gwen Stefani gave birth to baby Zuma; baby and mother are in good health.
On Thursday afternoon, pop singer Gwen Stefani gave birth to Zuma Nesta Rock.
Zuma was reported to be healthy and weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces.
"Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy," said publicist Dave Tomberlin in a statement.
Stefani has an older child, Kingston, with her husband, Gavin Rossdale.
Rossdale has a teenage daughter with fashion designer Pearl Lowe.
Stefani has made a name for herself as a solo artist and as the singer for the band, No Doubt. Stefani, 38, has become successful with her clothing line, L.A.M.B.
