Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst and Ice Cube into Family Values with the Longshots
It's no longer "all about the nookie" for Limp Bizkit's lead man, Fred Durst, while his band is on hiatus.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the former music star, who has always had a passion for expression through the medium of film, is marking a change in direction as director of this weekend's newly released film, The Longshots. The film, produced by music star Ice Cube, is Durst's sophomore directorial debut. Ice Cube, who also stars in The Longshots himself, has had a successful part-time career within the film industry for over a decade. Aside from the "raw" images that both musicians have cultivated for themselves within the music industry, The Longshots is a family movie. The film also stars popular tween, Keke Palmer.
Durst's directorial debut film, The Education of Charlie Banks, is scheduled to be released in theaters in October of this year.
