Bale Learned to Act from Horses?

The Dark Knight actor, Christian Bale, who plays Batman, believes that riding horses has played a strong role in helping his acting career take off.

"I love horses. I've learned from them," Bale says. "Once you master a horse - but it also masters you - you gain more confidence in yourself," the star explains, discussing how it provided him with the confidence necessary to become successful as an actor.

"A horse is, after all, a pretty large animal. When you can mount it and move it and move along with it, that is a hard-won and very real accomplishment," the "Batman" actor says.

"It involves posture and coordination, respect for the animal, also timing, and esteem for yourself, cooperation, and a flow and a rhythm that's rather Zen-like," the actor says. Considering how the Welsh-born English actor is often noted for his self-confidence in the way he conducts himself, perhaps we should all learn how to ride horses!
