Posh and Katie's Friendship Is Under More Strain

The two's cooling friendship is reportedly feeling more tension. There has been some news that Mrs. Tom Cruise, aka Katie Holmes, is likely to overshadow Victoria Beckham at New York Fashion Week.

According to UK's Daily Mail, Beckham was going to be promoting her clothing line, VDB, this fall at Fashion Week. However, the 33-year-old fashionista has cancelled her slot, claiming that she's not ready to launch her collection.

On the other hand, Holmes, 29, is as ready as ever with her Holmes-Yang collection strutting down the runway in a show that kicks off Fashion Week.

"The timing is unfortunate," says a spy. "Victoria will have private viewings of her new collection instead.

"Officially, Victoria's people say no runway show was planned and this has nothing to do with Katie launching her line but the truth is Victoria doesn't want the inevitable comparisons."

Sources say the friendship has gone off the boil largely because of the Beckhams' reluctance to join the Church of Scientology.

Meanwhile, reports say that Tom Cruise got two anthrax threats sent to his United Artists office, forcing the entire building to evacuate. "Nothing came of it, but Tom fears the threats were directed at him."

Since then, he's stepped up the security in his L.A. home. "He has tightened security in the office and the Scientology church in Hollywood and installed state-of-the-art cameras at his mansion in Beverly Hills. It's like Fort Knox," said an insider.
