Kim Kardashian to Be a "Star"

The model and reality star will be on this season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

Kim Kardashian will be adding another reality television show to her repertoire, as she announced on Monday that she will be a contestant on this season of Dancing with the Stars, despite a serious injury that forced her to check into a New York City hospital on Sunday, Fox News reports.

Though Kardashian sought medical attention after cutting her foot on a glass table while staying at a New York City hotel Sunday, she plans to be back in shape and ready for the show's premiere. "I cut my foot pretty bad," she told Good Morning America. "It looked like a murder scene with all the blood everywhere."

Her injury does not put her out of contention for winning the show's title, however. "I will be able to dance," she assured fans of Dancing with the Stars, adding, "I went to the hospital. I'll be fine."

After weeks of fan speculation, the official announcement of the newest cast of the dancing reality show was made Monday morning on Good Morning America.

Premiering September 22, other contestants on the show include: Susan Lucci, Lance Bass, Brooke Burke, Cloris Leachman, Toni Braxton, chef Rocco DiSpirito, Cody Linley of Hannah Montana, Jeffrey Ross, Ted McGinley, and Warren Sapp. The show is also set to include two Olympic athletes, beach volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor and Maurice Greene, a two time gold medalist during the Sydney games in track.
