George Clooney and Brad Pitt to star in “Burn After Reading,” by the Coen brothers.
A new film by the Coen brothers opens at the Venice Film Festival in Italy. The film, Burn After Reading, features George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Frances McDormand.
The film is about idiots and "what happens when their worlds collide." Pitt and McDormand are two hapless gym employees who become dazed and confused when the diaries of a failed CIA operative (played by John Malkovich) end up in their hands. Clooney stars as a hypochondriac womanizer who has an affair with the CIA analyst's wife (played by Tilda Swinton.)
This is Clooney's third film with the Coens. In a press conference, Pitt announced he has waited a long time for this opportunity.
