Aaron Sorkin to Write Facebook Movie

Aaron Sorkin, the man behind shows such as Sports Night, The West Wing, and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, is writing a movie about the founding of Facebook.

To promote his new film, Sorkin has created a Facebook group for "Aaron Sorkin & the Facebook Movie."

Adding to buzz, Sorkin's Facebook profile stated, "I've just agreed to write a movie for Sony and producer Scott Rudin about how Facebook was invented. I figured a good first step in my preparation would be finding out what Facebook is, so I've started this page. (Actually it was started by my researcher, Ian Reichbach, because my grandmother has more Internet savvy than I do and she's been dead for 33 years.)"

Producer Scott Rudin has confirmed that the Facebook page is actually Sorkin's and not just a fan, and that Sorkin is indeed writing a Facebook movie for Sony.
