Movie to be made about social networking site.
The New York Times is reporting that a movie based on the creation of social networking site Facebook is currently underway.
Aaron Sorkin, a creator and screenwriter of The West Wing, is said to be writing the screenplay for the film and has set up a page for himself on the networking site. The film will reportedly focus on the creation and evolution of the site, which was created by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004.
Since its inception, Facebook boasts 60 million members and some have valued the site at more than $15 billion.
Sorkin added on his Facebook page, “I’ve just agreed to write a movie for Sony and producer Scott Rudin about how Facebook was invented.”
