Jackson Furious Over New Eminem Video
13-Oct-2004
Written by: Jackie Backman
Michael Jackson does not see the humor in the controversial rapper's new video, and doesn't think you should either.
The King of Pop is calling on all networks to pull rapper Eminem's new music video "Just Lose It" from the air, as he feels it portrays him in a "disrespectful and demeaning" manner.
In the video, Eminem dresses up as Jackson, and sits on a bed with several young boys while making reference to them sitting on his lap. The song also makes references to the pending investigation against Jackson, although the rapper adds, "That's not a stab at Michael, that's just a metaphor, I'm just psycho."
"Michael feels the video is disrespectful and offensive," Jackson's spokesperson Ramone Bain told the New York Daily News. "It's one thing to spoof someone, it's another to be completely insensitive and disrespectful."
While BET is expected to pull the "Just Lose It" video off the air Tuesday, it currently holds the top spot on MTV's video countdown show TRL. Meanwhile, the single continues to climb the charts, coming in at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Eminem's new album "Encore" will hit stores November 16.
