Michael Jackson Feels "Very Young" at 50
To celebrate his 50th birthday, Michael Jackson told Good Morning America that he only wants a quiet party with his kids. "[I'm] having a wonderful time, just relaxing," he said.
"I feel very wise and sage, but at the same time very young." He said that he's still looking for great things professionally. "I love composing," he told the ABC news show. "I am writing all the time."
This king of pop feels that turning 50 is not a super big deal, and that he can still do dance moves and "more." But priorities have changed since his "Thriller" days. "I am also raising my children and enjoying it and teaching them to ride bicycles and how to read," he said. "I love it."
"A little cake with my children" will be on the party itinerary. His three kids are Prince Michael, 11, Paris, 10, and Prince Michael II, 6. "[A]nd we'll probably watch some cartoons."
He said that he wants his kids to have the freedom that he didn't have as a former child star. "I let them go to the arcade and go to the movies and do things," he added. "I want them to get to do the kind of things I didn't get to do."
