Amy Winehouse Drops Festival
On top of 24-year-old Amy Winehouse's troubles with alcohol and drugs, the "Rehab" singer may now be undergoing a lawsuit!
After the troubled singer pulled out of a French music festival where she was to headline, just hours before she was set to perform, the organizers of the festival are threatening legal action against her. Reportedly, the singer cancelled her appearance at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris because she was "ill," according to Contactmusic.com. "Amy Winehouse was regrettably unable to perform at the Rock en Seine show in Paris due to illness. She was taken ill at her house and wasn't able to travel to France for the concert," her rep said.
However, organizers of the event were angry, claiming they received just two hours notice and "no explanation of the exact reasons for her absence." The Rock en Seine organizers said in a statement, "We were told by her agent at 8:00 p.m. that she wasn't coming." Now, the organizers have released a statement via their Web site discussing that they may soon be taking legal action. At this rate, Winehouse may not be getting booked for any appearances!
