Trials and tribulations of being in the spotlight are getting to Beyoncé, instead, she wants to be a legend.
Beyoncé is over being a pop star and celebrity, according to People magazine, Beyoncé says she aspires to become “iconic status.”
"There is a time limit on being a pop star, yes. Being a legend, an icon? Absolutely not," said Beyoncé, in the October issue of the U.K. Edition of Marie Claire.
"I'm over being a pop star, I don't wanna be a hot girl – I wanna be iconic," adds the 26-year-old Grammy award winner.
The pop star is bothered by her celebrity status and it makes everyday tasks increasingly difficult.
"There are responsibilities that come along with this life . . . trying to have a romantic meal without someone sneaking in to film the whole thing. I have to work really hard and it's fine because I like it, I love it, but it's a lot of sacrifice," said Beyoncé, who married Jay-Z in April.
Beyoncé believes she is a role model for minority models, "I think I'm opening doors for more black women, just like Halle Berry and Diana Ross opened doors for me."
With this said, Beyoncé is excited for the political future of the country, "I'm really proud. I think we're making a bit of progress, it's an exciting time. We all feel part of our country now."
