Gossip Girls Meets 30 Rock

NBC’s TV show, 30 Rock, has a long list of celebrity appearances.
Inside sources have confirmed that Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester and Blake Lively will be appearing on the fourth episode of 30 Rock on NBC.
According to Michael Ausiello at EW.com, the girls will play former acquaintances of Liz Lemon, played by Tina Fey. Ausiello said that the network wanted all of the Gossip girls, but due to technicalities they settled for two.
"They originally wanted to have all the main Gossip castmembers appear as a group in a scene with Tina, but it's been tricky to work out with the shooting schedules," Ausiello said.
"We want to make it work with 30 Rock, they shoot across the hall from us," a Gossip girl told Ausiello.
Interestingly, the executive producer of CW’s Gossip Girl, Josh Schwartz, also works for NBC, producing Chuck. Schwartz worked to try and bridge the gap between the two networks and make the deal happen.
In the episode, Jack, played by Alec Baldwin, will get stuck in a snow storm with Liz going to her 20 year high school reunion at White Haven High in Philidelphia. Liz tells Jack that she was a big nerd in high school, when in reality, she was a bully and always hurting other people's feelings.
Also appearing on 30 Rock is Will Arnett and Jennifer Aniston, along with Oprah (unconfirmed) and the Gossip girls.
