It’s made more than enough at IMAX.
The very popular “Batman” movie, The Dark Knight, has made a total of $925 million dollars in the box office since it was released this summer, reported Splashpage.mtv.com. Most everyone has seen it or will be first in line at Blockbuster when it hits the stands - well, as you can tell from the outrageous numbers in sales.
The very popular film also reached IMAX and has hit sky high numbers there, as well. It even beat out Polar Express, which made $45 million total. The Dark Knight made $55 million in sales, according to Splashpage.mtv.com.
IMAX chief Greg Foster stated that he would accept any re-release of The Dark Knight in the future. Although it would mainly be up to Warner Bros, Foster responded, “That sounds like a really great idea. We’d certainly support that.” When Warner Bros. was approached, they said it would be ‘a real possibility,’ according to MTV.com.
