Will and Jada Talk Politics at Film Premiere

in
At the premiere for Jada Pinkett Smith's film, "The Women," she and her husband couldn't stop talking about the election.

There are still months until the election, but people are already murmuring about the film adaptation. Will Smith has been talked about to play Barack Obama, the senator and the presidential candidate. "I'll make the decision in about two months as soon as he writes the ending," Smith told Access Hollywood. Presumably, the "he" Smith is talking about is Obama and the ending is the election in November.

Access Hollywood was also able to get Smith's opinion when he was at the premiere of his wife's new film, The Women. In the film, Jada plays Alex Fisher, a lesbian character, in a very female oriented film that originally came out in 1939. This version, though, is not exactly a remake, "Oh, it wasn't in that version! Definitely not," Smith says about her lesbian character. Co-starring with Jada are Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Annette Bening and Eva Mendes.

Back to Will's political thoughts: Jada says that it's really Michelle, Barack's wife, that Will's interested in. "He has a crush on Michelle," Jada continued. ". . . Will Smith loves intelligent women." Will admits, "Yeah I saw her on Larry King, she got me on Larry King," and the banter goes on between the couple.
