Reports: Maguire, Raimi On Board for "Spider-Man" 4 and 5
Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood reports that both Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire have agreed to terms with Sony for two more "Spider-Man" films. Finke goes on to say that Kirsten Dunst is near agreeing with the studio about returning for a fourth and fifth money-grab, but has not signed on at this point.
The villains for the films have not been confirmed, but two that are still out there are Vulture and Electro. According to Finke's sources, however, either Lizard or Man-Wolf will be the next villain.
"Sony is taking its time officially hiring the movie's villain since principal photography doesn't start on Spider-Man 4 until next fall because of the recently postponed May 2011 release," Finke writes. "I am told, however, that 'once you find out who the villian is, you'll know who's playing it.'"
