“Family Guy” Creator Teaming with Google for New Series
6-Sep-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

Seth MacFarlane’s new gig will be a series of short cartoons.

Seth MacFarlane is slowly building his animation empire, this time teaming with one of the strongest companies in the United States of America.

MacFarlane, who created the uber-popular Family Guy, (as well as fellow-Fox animated program American Dad) which features a dog who is in love with his master's wife and an American-born baby with a British accent, is teaming up with Google to carry dozens of short cartoons.

Starting Wednesday, MacFarlane's new series, Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy, will start to be distributed by Google throughout the Internet.

The reason for the new series, it seems to be, is because of the huge success Family Guy has with young males. Other than NFL Football and American Idol, Family Guy beats all other programs. It also has brought in more than $386 million in total DVD sales (which is solely behind Seinfeld, according to Adams Media Research).

Look for the new sketches as they role out Wednesday, one of which has Seth Green voicing Matthew McConaughey. They will be available on many sites, including YouTube.com.
