McCain and Obama Wives on Project Runway?
7-Sep-2008
Written by: Joe Thomas

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia wants Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain to guest judge on the TV show.

While our nation is in the process of making history in the White House, Nina Garcia, a judge on Project Runway, has different plans for the candidates' wives.

According to People magazine, Garcia would like nothing more for Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama to guest judge on the show, saying, “It would be amazing,” and “We did the Olympics, why not the election?”

Garcia was quick to analyze the women’s different styles. “[McCain] is Oscar de la Renta. [She's] all about bold colors and she’s all about diamonds and pearls and blondeness.” Whereas, “[Obama] is Miss Jackie O. — ’50s, early ’60s.” Garcia said.

Garcia has her eyes on Sarah Palin as well, and noted the vice presidential nominee shows “a lot of promise.” Garcia suggests Palin, who will be in the spotlight until November, wear designs by Carolina Herrera.

“First, we have to lose the glasses — Lasik or contacts. But she’s attractive. She seems to be feminine; I saw the high heels and little beaded skirt. She kind of broke up the suit which is a major move for a politician — and she’s curvaceous,” said Garcia.
