Noel Gallagher Attacked in Canada
Noel Gallagher looked back in anger Sunday night as he was assaulted onstage during a concert in Toronto.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oasis guitarist fell to the ground after an unknown male appeared onstage and pushed him from behind, shoving Gallagher into a monitor speaker.
The concert, which took place on Toronto Island Park, was part of Toronto's Virgin Festival. The band, also the festival's headliner, was playing "Morning Glory" when the incident occurred. The attacker allegedly ran up to the unsuspecting Gallagher before shoving him in the back. He then tried his luck with brother Liam Gallagher, but the band's crew was quick to take the unknown assailant down. According to CBS, the man was arrested shortly after.
The band walked offstage following the incident but returned five minutes later to finish the gig, the Hollywood Reporter reports. The band said that Gallagher "fell heavily onto his monitor speakers" and was taken to a medical facility "to be examined for a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage."
Oasis is scheduled to play Tuesday night in London, Ontario, however, fans have been told to check online resources for a possible cancellation.
