Boxing Boy Born to Laila Ali!
Joining the recent surge in Hollywood births this month is American Gladiators host Laila Ali who has given birth to a baby boy, reports zap2it.com.
An announcement was made Thursday on her Web site, LailiAli.com, that she and husband retired NFL star Curtis Conway welcomed the baby.
"Laila and husband Curtis Conway welcomed their first child together, a beautiful, healthy, baby boy, Tuesday, August 26, 2008. He's a healthy baby boy who weighed 6.8 lbs. and measured 19 inches long. Mama and baby are resting!"
This will make number four for Conway who also has a daughter, Leilani, 9, and twins, Kelton and Cameron, 13, but will be the first child for Ali.
The baby also seems to be named after the father, reports People magazine, as he will be called C.J. It is also reported that even though mother and baby are fine, "There were some surprises during labor that altered Laila's birth plan."
The boxer had apparently wanted to come into motherhood like a true champ with a home birth and no medication.
No other information has yet been given out.
