Ellen DeGeneres Wants Ryan Seacrest to Fall in Love Already
On Monday's episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ryan Seacrest was one of the comic's special guests. One of their topics was love and dating.
According to People, one of Seacrest's goals in 2008 was, "I want to know what love is." On the show, Ellen, who is a new bride, asked the American Idol host why he can't seem to find love.
Seacrest complained that he was too busy. But Ellen warned him: "You're going to wait too long and get in a rut being single. It's going to be hard to open up and share your life with somebody, because you have your way of doing things. You have to let go and be with someone. You're a great guy. You're funny, you're smart . . ."
Seacrest asked Ellen if she was calling him old. She said, "You're getting old."
Afterwards, she took out photos of women celebrities, which were Eva Mendes, Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, and Pamela Anderson. "They don't know about this," she told Seacrest, "but just as an idea of who would you choose out of these women right here."
"You have Eva," he said, "and Jennifer is great too." Ellen notes that Seacrest went to Eva Mendes's picture first.
With Britney's photo, Seacrest first mistook her for her younger sister, Jamie Lynn. "I was going to say she's young and obviously there's enough going on, and that's not for me."
Of Carrie Underwood, he said, "I like Carrie, but then I kind of feel like she is part of Idol thing, so I don't know if that's the right thing to do, to think about her in that way."
As for Aniston, "I don't know Jennifer," Seacrest said, which brought Ellen back to Mendes. "I think she's great," he said. "What's she like?"
"She's great," Ellen told him. "Would you like me to set you up with her?"
"Yeah."
"Okay."
