Top 10 Funniest Celebrity Award Acceptance Speeches

Speeches that will make you literally LOL (Laugh Out Loud!).

To live the life of the rich and famous sounds grand. However, to get to that level of success, many people put forth effort to make it all happen. In most acceptance speeches, celebrities mention the typical family members, directors and costars. However, in the 45 seconds it takes to make the speech in front of millions of viewers, some stars choose to stray from the norm.

1. Steve Carell's acceptance speech when he won Best Actor in a Comedy Series at the Golden Globes. Carell read aloud a speech written by his wife while adding hilarious sidebars. "Thanks also to an excellent cast, crew, and writing staff all of whom I am indebted to . . . if it weren't for you I wouldn't be here right now," his wife Nancy wrote, where he added "Hmmm . . . I don't know about that."

2. Kathy Griffin, 2007 Emmys. It was definitely controversial, considering she said, "Jesus can suck it." However, who doesn't love a star who doesn't mind shouting about religion on national television?

3. Julia Roberts at the 2000 Oscars. Funny, in a humbling way. "I want to thank everyone I've ever met in my entire life."

4. Michael Moore, 2003 Oscars. ". . . Shame on you, Mr. Bush. Shame on you. . . ." He was booed promptly before the music came on. Everyone looked so confused and shocked, that some flies probably flew into a couple of mouths.

5. After a standing ovation, Woody Allen at the 2002 Oscars said, "Thank you very much. That makes up for the strip search."

6.Russell Brand, "Best Non-Acting Performer," Broadcasting Press Guild 2007. His accent was overwhelmingly annoying and it didn't help that he slurred and wandered off the topic. Hilarious! It's actually more interesting to watch than listen. "Thank you for the award, but frankly I do it all for the sex."

7. Sacha Cohen and Will Ferrell, Golden Globes for "Best Kiss." "You kissed me five times. That was just acting?" followed by "You're a total b*tch," and a slap. The two proceeded to make out and rolled on the floor with one another (literally).

8. Patton Oswalt, Cringe Humors Award Show 2007. Funny, but not nearly as hilarious as the silver, spandex unitard he was wearing. The entire time, all eyes were glued to the big tuffs of hair on his chest poking out from his outfit.

9. Jerry Seinfeld, when he won the American Comedian Award. He used his speech to mock the award show and discuss that he was "sick of all these actors" because, "they haven't got a thought in their stupid, bed-head. . . ."

10. Cuba Gooding, Jr. in 1997 when he won Best Supporting Actor for Jerry Maguire. Gooding screamed "I love you!" over and over again, even after the music cued. "Everybody who's involved with this, I love you. I love you. Everybody involved," he shouted as the music got louder. Absolutely hilarious!
