I'm F------ Matt Damon Wins an Emmy

Sarah Silverman went on to thank Jimmy Kimmel, who she recently broke up with after five years.

Sarah Silverman won an Emmy Saturday night at the Creative Arts Emmys, and thanked her ex-boyfriend, Jimmy Kimmel.

"Let's be honest, Matt Damon had very little to do with this being popular," Silverman, 37, said about the video that featured Damon. "Thanks to the person for whom this whole video was made: Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart - ohh, who'll always have a place in my heart."

The video was presented as a sort of late birthday present on Jimmy Kimmel Live by Kimmel's then girlfriend who starred in the video along with Damon. It was written and recorded by those involved with the show, and won two awards - best original music and lyrics and a picture-editing award.

The ongoing joke with Kimmel's show is that he doesn't have enough time for Damon, so he bumps him. As a sort of retaliation (I say sort of, because they're friends in real life), Damon recorded the video to get back at Kimmel.

Well, it aired on the show and turned into a viral video smash, racking up more than 5 million hits on youtube.

Silverman's speech was rather touching, considering that she and Kimmel split in July, before the Emmy nominations were announced.

The Creative Arts Emmys air on E! Saturday, Sept. 20, one day before the real deal airs on ABC Sept. 21.
