Carrie Bradshaw's Teen Years to Become a Book
Sex and the City author to publish book about Carrie Bradshaw's teen years.
Publishing company HarperCollins announced on Wednesday that a novel about Sex & the City character Carrie Bradshaw's teen years is in the works.
Candace Bushnell, who authored the column which became an HBO hit series and movie, is writing a novel about the teenage years of Sarah Jessica Parker's character, Carrie Bradshaw.
Bushnell stated, "I've always been interested in exploring Carrie's teenage years. Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd--she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene." The novel is due to be published in fall 2010, and is part of a two-book deal.
Bushnell is also the author of Four Blondes, Trading Up, Lipstick Jungle, as well as One Fifth Avenue.
