Protestors Line Up to Protest All My Sons, Featuring Katie Holmes
Protestors from the anti-Scientology group, Anonymous, were lined up outside of New York's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Thursday night for a sneak peak of the play, All My Sons, starring Katie Holmes.
According to a member of Anonymous, "We are not boycotting Katie, we are not boycotting the play, and we are protesting Scientology. It is evil. Scientology kills people. It follows you home at night. It is perverted."
The protestors wore masks similar to those in V for Vendetta and shielded signs that said "Scientology Kills" and "Free Katie."
"We aren't protesting Katie. But Scientology is a cult and once you become a member you can't leave, and we've heard that Katie isn't able to leave because of Tom Cruise," a protestor told the New York Daily News.
Nothing would deter Tom Cruise from seeing his wife's broadway debut. Cruise sneaked into the theater moments before the performance began. As he found his seat he was seen snapping shots with Dustin Hoffman and others.
Neither Cruise, nor his publicist, had any comment in regards to the happenings outside the venue. One thing is for certain, he did know what went on inside the theater.
"She was extraordinary," Cruise told reporters.
All My Sons opens to the public on Oct. 16.
