Shannen Doherty: Leave Skinny Costars Alone

The remake of the series, 90210, has caused controversy over being "too thin." No doubt Shannen Doherty has had her share of issues, but the actress is standing up for her costars.

Doherty told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show that the public should not be concerned about her costars, Shenae Grimes and Jessica Stroup's eating habits or weight.

"I see those girls and they eat on the set, so I'm pretty sure they're not starving themselves," Doherty said.

"I don't really think it's some magazine's obligation to put these girls on the cover and point fingers at them. Either way, they need to leave them alone," Doherty continued.

Doherty played the role of Brenda Walsh in the original Beverly Hills, 90210, and has guest starred as the same character in the new 90210. The new 90210 airs on the CW, check with your cable operator for listings.
