“Heroes” Takes Hit During Premiere
23-Sep-2008
Written by: Phillecia Cochan

Some Monday night premieres deliver while others fall short.

NBC’s top rated drama, Heroes, took a hit in its number of viewers during its Monday night premiere, going down 25 percent compared to last year.

Heroes came in second in the 9 p.m. hour to ABC’s hit, Dancing with the Stars, and second in the 10 p.m. hour after CBS’s CSI: Miami. With Heroes failing to draw in their usual viewers, CBS won its first premiere Monday night since 2002.

Not all shows returned weaker than last season, however. CBS’s Two and a Half Men returned 10 percent higher than last year with its best premiere in four years. How I Met Your Mother premiered 21 percent higher than last year.
