Colbert, Stewart Plan Election Special
23-Sep-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril
The special will take place on election night.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert will host Comedy Central's election night special, undoubtedly in the attempt to bring a more comical outlook to the usually hard news-heavy night.
They will also, undoubtedly, steal much of the young audience away from the big three networks as well as MSNBC, Fox News Channel and CNN.
The Comedy Central hosts will start their special at 10 p.m. ET November 4.
The working title, at this point, is “The Daily Show and The Colbert Report Election Night 2008.”
I'm sure Comedy Central will come up with something a little better than that.
The Comedy Central release attempted to provide a bit of excitement among the young demographic.
"Will John 'Grandpa' McCain totter his way to victory over Barack 'Doesn't Pick Up His Socks' Obama? Or will Obama toss that sock of change right over McCain's balding head, into the hamper of victory?"
Does that do the trick?
