Jeffrey Katzenberg, who is well known for his role in producing Shrek and the rest of DreamWorks' beloved animated films, says that he is confident that there will be a sequel to Kung Fu Panda.
The computer-animated feature film raked in more than $600 million worldwide since being released in the beginning of June.
Katzenberg told analysts at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference in New York Wednesday morning, "I'm optimistic that all the things we need to make a great franchise and a great sequel will come together in the next few weeks or so."
He went on to say that he didn't want to get ahead of the company in terms of the announcement for a sequel.
Stay tuned.
