Uma Thurman to Appear on Muppet Christmas Special

The actress has signed on for “Letters to Santa – A Muppet Christmas.”
The Muppets will have two new faces on its upcoming Christmas special, “Letters to Santa – A Muppet Christmas”; actress Uma Thurman and Law and Order alum Jesse L. Martin signed on to star in the special earlier this week, according to Reuters.
The Christmas special will feature the familiar faces of Kermit and his friends as they inadvertently reroute three children’s letters to Santa and race against time to get the letters to Santa to fulfill the children’s Christmas wishes.
Thurman will play Joy, Santa’s flight attendant and the ticket clerk for the North Pole Airlines.
Martin will open the show with a song and dance number as a postal carrier with the Muppets.
Longtime Muppet guest Whoopi Goldberg has already signed on for the special, as well as Tony Sirico, Steve Schirripa, Richard Griffiths and Madison Pettis. Familiar Muppet faces will include Kermit, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and Fozzie.
The Muppets Production special will feature music by songwriter Paul Williams.
Last year’s special, “Elmo’s Christmas Countdown,” focused on the Sesame Street characters and featured Ben Stiller and Alicia Keys.
