Will Smith On Board for "I Am Legend" Prequel
Will Smith received the perfect gift for his 40th birthday from Warner Bros. Smith received the opportunity to reprise his I Am Legend role as character Robert Neville in a prequel to the film.
The movie executives gave the green light to the film on Wednesday (the day of Smith's 40th), confirming that Francis Lawrence will once again direct and D. B. Weiss will write the script.

For those of you who don't know, Smith's scientist character was killed in the last film (therefore making a sequel impossible).
And, at this point, it appears that Smith's role as alcoholic superhero Hancock, could also be ready for a sequel.
At least, that's what Charlize Theron said.
"If everybody's on board, I would be an idiot (not to do it) . . ." Theron recently said in an interview with MTV. "Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride."
