Project Runway Is Stalled
Sad news for fans hoping to see the hit show, Project Runway, parading across the schedule of Lifetime.
It's not going to happen yet.
According to the Associated Press, a N.Y. judge ordered a preliminary injunction Friday as part of NBC Universal's lawsuit against Weinstein, the company that produces the reality show, halting its move.
What's the big deal?
Bravo, one of the NBC Universal networks, had apparently aired the show first, and they were none to happy about Weinstein Co.'s reported $150 million deal with Lifetime for it to be the new home of the fashion centered show hosted by Heidi Klum.
If the deal had gone through, Project Runway could have appeared on the Lifetime network as soon as January.
In a statement, Weinstein Co. said that plans to appeal the decision are as good as made.
It is reported that the show is already back in production in L.A., so the company better move fast if there's any chance of showing the new season on Lifetime in the future.
