Indiana Jones on DVD in October
Indy and the Crystal Skull of Akator, is preparing to make their way to your television screen in two weeks.
Lucasfilm, Inc. and Paramount Home Entertainment announced they will release the blockbuster hit, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, on DVD and Blu-ray Oct. 14, 2008.
The latest installment of the Indiana Jones franchise, directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Frank Marshall, tells the story of one of America's most known adventure heroes.
Executive producers George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy go back in time to 1957 in which they watch Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone and John Hurt as they follow Indy from the halls of Marshall College to the jungles of South Africa in search of the Crystal Skull of Akator. Finding the aforementioned treasure proves to be a daunting task due to the relentless Soviet agents who want the Crystal Skull more than anyone.
The Indiana Jones phenomenon has earned over $2 billion in revenue worldwide, including six Academy Awards. The popular adventure series has earned over $770 million at the global box office.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be released as a two-disc special edition DVD, and Blu-ray presentations feature bonus features in which viewers can accompany Spielberg and his cast on a fascinating journey behind the scenes. Along the cinematic journey, viewers will witness the works of legendary artists who brought Indy's newest adventure to life. Fans may also purchase "The Complete Adventure Collection," which features the first three Indy films, plus the two-disc Special Edition DVD of Indy's latest journey.
