Ricky Williams Was Tempted to Smoke Pot During Bye Week

Ricky Williams is a noted (former) drug user.
Ricky Williams recently told the Miami Herald that he had the urge to smoke marijuana over the Dolphins' (his team) bye week.
This is big news because Williams is a noted drug offender and has had multiple run-ins with the league over his drug use. Actually, the running back retired from the league, some sources reported at the time, to smoke weed.
Williams has gone on record saying that he is addicted to pot, and that because of the bye week, he thought about smoking much more because of the off time.
But it seems that Williams has his addiction under control.
"For the first couple of years I was more worried about how I could beat the test. Now that I'm dealing with the issue, I'm almost thankful for it. I like the testing guy and I'm used to it. It's just part of my life."
But Williams didn't entirely rule out smoking weed again in his life.
"I don't know," he said. "I'd be lying if I said I'm never going to do it again after I'm done. I don't know. I don't spend much time thinking about it."
