Britney Sets the Bar High with New Album
1-Oct-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

Spears said that she can do much better with her new single and CD.

Britney Spears's 2007 Blackout album was reportedly, from mostly gossip magazines, released amidst a series of drug and alcohol abuses from the pop princess. And because of this, and based on the strength of her new album, Spears recently said that she has room to improve when compared to "Piece of Me," which was her first single off of Blackout.

And though the video won three VMAs last month, Spears says that she has room to improve on that front as well.

"It's a cool video, but I think by far I've done videos that are way better," the singer said Monday in an interview with New York's top 40 radio station, Z100. "So I was really shocked that . . . it got the award."

The 26-year-old called her victory in three different categories "inspiring, though, because now going forward with the videos that I'm doing now, I can really go there and do something crazy and see what happens."

As was reported last week, Spears's new album, Circus, will be released on her birthday on Dec. 2.

And as we reported yesterday, it appears that Spears will support her album with a world tour next year, which is another testament on how she's turned her life around, because she didn't support Blackout at all.
