It’s for Judd Apatow’s new film.
Next week, Judd Apatow's new film, Funny People, about stand-up comedians begins filming.
In order to prepare for their respective roles, the leads in the movie, Seth Rogan, Adam Sandler and Jonah Hill, have frequented small comedy clubs in Los Angeles. Their final performance took place Saturday night in front of a live audience.
The three actors, joined by Kevin James (King of Queens and Hitch) and Aubry Plaza, performed at Upright Citizens Brigade (capacity: 92) in order to make the film more realistic.
Apatow emceed the night, returning to his roots as a stand-up comedian.
He then gave way to each actor, with the sets from Rogan, Hill and James reportedly being heavy in masturbation humor. Sandler then came on with a bit of a disclaimer that said his jokes about being single were for his character and not his real life.
All reportedly did very well, with Apatow receiving the most laughs.
Rogan, however, said that he will likely not ever do that again. After the performance was over, Rogan said: "I'm so glad that's over."
