Fey Offered $6 Million Payday
Publishers are reportedly talking to Tina Fey about writing a book that would detail the 41-year-old's rise to prominence in the realm of television.
The monetary compensation for Fey seems to be rising by the day, because of her immense popularity playing Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live which has elevated her celebrity status.
The New York Post reports that one publisher offered to pay Fey a $5 million advance for her to write a book. Other publishers have jumped into the conversation, and driven the price up to $6 million.
A source familiar with the situation says that Fey has been too busy (producing, acting in and writing episodes for 30 Rock and appearing on Saturday Night Live) to meet with publishers face to face.
But it appears that Fey is seriously considering the offers.
