Written by: Jessica McCumber
The jam band is back after four years.
After being on a four-year hiatus since 2004, jam band Phish will be reuniting in Hampton, Va., reports Bostonherald.com.
In a statement posted on the band's Web site, the band will have shows March 6, 7, and 8 at the Hampton Coliseum and has plans to announce even more tour dates some time early next year.
Rumors about a Phish reunion have been around since the band’s last show back in Aug of 2004, but this time there are dates to back it up.
There is a new rumor floating about these days that says the band has even recently contacted Steve Lillywhite, who is the former producer of U2.
Fans have had high hopes since earlier this summer when band members Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell, and Jon Fishman said they had been talking about working together again.
Three of the four members shared the stage Fourth of July weekend at the Rothbury Festival in Michigan.
The comeback could easily be a success for Phish, who reportedly are the jam genre’s biggest name and have grossed $175 million from concerts alone.
