Rosario Dawson Writes Musical About Voting
3-Oct-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

The purpose is to get Latinos to vote.

The problem of lack of voting in past elections seems to extend to everyone and everywhere in the United States.

This has especially been the case among young voters, as well as the less publicized Latino voters. But now, a series of famous Latinos are urging those of a similar heritage to get out the vote in the upcoming election in the United States.

The latest is Sin City star Rosario Dawson, who co-wrote a mini-musical. Dawson's friend, Wilmer Valderrama will direct the Internet short this weekend.

"We play a Latin family on a fake TV show and we all speak with Spanish accents and, like, the big major drama is, 'He's not registered to vote,'" Dawson recently said. "It's all really overly dramatic and overdone and this one is gonna be a musical."

Look for it soon.
