Spammers - Why?

Today I am getting tired of spammers.
Where are there people who have nothing better to do than hack into other people's computers? Don't they have a job?
It seems lately I spend more time restoring my computer than getting to do much on it. But I have learned some tools that help me get rid of the spammers quicker. I keep my trash cleared out. I delete all items I don't want to read, then delete them from trash and clear off the cookies before I read what I want to read. It helps some but it seems they are determined.
If they want my life, I wish I could have a much better one then. I live day by day, paycheck to paycheck (oh - really what paycheck as I'm disabled), and can hardly pay my bills due to high gas prices just like most people in the country.
So to you spammers out there, are you richer than me? I have nothing you would want unless it is a knee replacement, ankle fusion, surgeries, etc.
My big enjoyment is going to see my daughter 10 minutes away and sometimes with gas prices, I cannot do that. Neither can she.
So what do I have you could possibly want?
