Former “Idol” Contestant Paris Bennett Gives Birth

Former “American Idol” contestant Paris Bennett gave birth to a baby girl on Monday.
American Idol season five contestant Paris Bennett is now a mom.
The 20-year-old singer gave birth to a baby girl on Monday afternoon in Minneapolis. She named her 5lbs. 15oz. girl Egypt.
Bennett spoke about her new baby, saying, “I'm so excited to finally see my little angel – and man, does she have lungs on her. I guess she's gearing up to be the next ‘American Idol.’”
A rep for the singer said, “Paris’s mother Jamecia Bennett and her family is filled with excitement and welcomes their bundle of joy.”
Paris's mother, Jamecia, had previously stated that the name of the baby’s father has not been announced because he “chooses not to be in the public eye.”
Bennett is set to release her album, A Royal Christmas on October 14.
