7-Oct-2008
Written by: Dresden Caston

The “Tropic Thunder” actor suffered minor injuries due to fire in home.

While trying to put out the flames in his living room Tuesday with a garden hose, Nick Nolte escaped with only a few minor injuries.

The fire produced by an electrical problem, caused Nolte to suffer from smoke inhalation, reported Inspector Sam Padilla of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

There was $3 million worth of damage to the house, but it was not completely destroyed. The damage took place on the structure and contents of the living room.

The 67-year-old resident of Malibu and actor was grateful for the help of the firefighters and police, according to Reuters.com. The celebrity was recently seen in Tropic Thunder, a comedy released this year.
