With the completion of week 5 of the 2008-09 NFL season, it has left only one NFC team undefeated. The reigning Super Bowl Champions (The New York Football Giants) are still unbeaten at a picture perfect 4 – 0. A one game suspension to Eli Manning’s go to guy, Plaxico Burress, made headlines prior to week five. Yet it was no problem because Dominique Hixon played well. This begs the question. Can the Giants repeat? It is still too early to answer that question, but everyone loves to speculate. History is working against the Giants. They have never repeated, and they have had inadequate seasons following a Super Bowl victory. Nevertheless, the Giants have proved history wrong before by giving the Patriots an 18-1 record last year. This Monday, the Giants will be looking to keep their road winning streak alive versus the Cleveland Browns, with Plaxico Burress in the starting lineup.
