How Long Can the Tennessee Titans Stay Perfect?

Nobody even expected the Titans to start out 5-0 at the start of the 2008-09 NFL season. Their football year began with their star quarterback, Vince Young, suffering an injury, and fans criticizing him. Days later, Young presumably contemplated suicide. Young was benched, and the Titans have never looked back. As a result, the age old veteran, Kerry Collins, has stepped in and managed the game for his team. Can he stay healthy for the entire season? Only time will tell. More importantly, are the Titans capable of scoring points in bunches if they are faced with an enormous deficit? It is highly unlikely because of their offense.
Here is what the Titans have going for them: an astonishing defense led by the cog in the middle, Keith Bulluck. With defensive back Cortland Finnegan intercepting passes, and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth clogging up the lanes, the Titans have to strike fear into the hearts of the opposing teams.
Here is what the Titans cannot do: score touchdown after touchdown with their offense. Every NFL team is looking for balance, but balance is an aspect to the Titans that they simply do not possess. As a team, they are not ranked in the top ten in scoring. Furthermore, Collins is prone to making turnovers.
It is still early in the regular season, and there is a long way to the finish line. Nevertheless, Coach Jeff Fisher has done an admirable job of coaching. The Titans have a bye in week six, so they will be looking to continue their winning trend against the Kansas City Chiefs in week seven.
