Cusack’s Stalker Accepts Plea Bargain
11-Oct-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

She was stalking him for 18 months.

Emily Leatherman, the woman who stalked John Cusack for more than 18 months, pleaded no contest to a felony count of stalking the actor. The agreement allows Leatherman to stay out of state prison.

The 33-year-old accepted the deal on Friday in Los Angeles. The deal also placed her under five years of probation in addition to mandatory psychiatric counseling, which should lead the general public to believe that she's mentally unstable (also because she was able to stay out of prison).

Leatherman was arrested in March of this year outside the actor's house in Malibu, which was in violation of the restraining order that Cusack got against her in 2006, after she had, according to Cusack, been stalking him for 18 months.
