Christie Brinkley Tries to Shield Children from Televised Interview
11-Oct-2008

The claws come out again as Christie Brinkley strives to protect her children from scathing interview.
Christie Brinkley is putting the legal system to work as she is attempting to shield the couple’s two children from viewing a televised interview that Cook has scheduled for Friday.
An Associated Press article states that, “Brinkley asked a Suffolk County court to shield the couple's two children from a televised interview, scheduled to air Friday on ABC, in which Peter Cook explains his affair with a teenager and his Internet porn proclivities.”
Yet, it seems Brinkley is fighting an uphill battle as her request to cancel Cook’s weekend visitation with the children was denied. The Associated Press also mentioned that, [Cook’s lawyer, Jim] Winkler said the order was unnecessary and that Cook had no intention of exposing the children to the Barbara Walters interview on ‘20/20.’”
The nasty and public divorce made the front page of countless tabloids. An article from ABC News said, “The couple's dirty laundry made headlines almost every day, with Cook characterized as a narcissistic cheater, and Brinkley as a woman scorned, intent on a vengeful public flogging. The trial came two years after Cook, 49, admitted to having an affair with Diana Bianchi, his then-18-year-old assistant, whom he pampered with gifts and money, including a $300,000 payoff to avoid a sexual harassment lawsuit.”
